Well, no. The whole point about having a moral code is that it applies to all members of society, without exception. Otherwise it’s impossible to preserve social order because people won’t be invested in it. It was common for men to disown their sons or divorce their wives if they dishonored themselves, wasn’t it? I reckon it was Frederick the Great who had his own brother tried in court because he failed to follow orders as a military officer (or something like that). That’s the only way to preserve any human community.

You get no disagreement from me there about the separations that occured, or particularly where Ms. Paglia is concerned. She is the reason I left feminism behind 15 yrs. ago.
What I am concerned with is the idea that men and women didn’t influence the other, discuss things over the dinner table or when the kids went to bed. There is also the influence or considerations of women who never married or had to fend for themselves due to widowhood.
Someone on the Manosphere had an post yesterday about how women worked in their husbands professions.
Anyone recall that?
The argument that women have contributed nothing to civilization unless they were supported by a man is true but I also believe this is goes both ways.
