Considering that I was about to call the whole thing off, I had low expectations and he rose above them. Surprise, surprise!
We took a walk after he popped a few more Claritin tabs, and talked sports (he’s been a competitive athlete since he was child) and music (he likes soft pop, ugh). Nothing remarkable, but nothing awful either. After a cup of tea with me, he drove off early to visit friends in San Diego, with whom he had evening plans. He and I arranged to meet for home-cooked dinner at my apartment the next night.
I immediately called Mr. Perfect Hug himself, Jeremi, and rehashed the details of our date that night. Jeremi’s my new addition to The Guys (although as of today, I haven’t added a blurb yet) and in many ways, he’s the ideal package:
