Z: OK, I know this. So, with me, you’re free. You can do what you want.
F: Ah, but what if I meet someone else? Then you’ll be hurt.
Z: Of course I’ll feel hurt but that’s a gamble. Relationships are gambles. We don’t know how they’ll end. But we take chances anyway.
So we’re back where we always were: dancing this Caution Dance. At least, thank God, we’re enjoying each other’s company. And are we ever. This guy is so amazingly fun to be with that my face hurts from smiling and laughing all the time I’m with him. And as he nuzzles in against me, and kisses and smiles at me in the morning, I know I’m onto something good here. Even if it is filled with cautious steps forward … and backward.
I’m not even sure about the Facebook status either. The last thing I want to do is repeat a very public online breakup. Had that happen already. Not fun.
To be honest (and this might sound a bit harsh) but when you get above 21 I think updating your facebook relationship status is a complete no no. Unless you’ve been with someone for years, are engaged or married, then I would keep it on the downlow, because I have experienced the same thing, changing your status on facebook is mortifying!
